CAQH ProView for radiologists.

CAQH ProView is a free online profile where physicians store their professional data, such as licenses, education, training, work history, malpractice coverage and practice locations, once, and authorize health plans and other organizations to use it. Radiologists, including teleradiologists who read for many hospitals, are asked for a current CAQH profile constantly. Keeping it attested and complete is one of the simplest ways to avoid credentialing delays.

What is CAQH ProView?

The short answer

CAQH ProView is a provider data portal run by CAQH. You enter your professional information once, upload supporting documents, and authorize health plans and other organizations to view it for credentialing and enrollment. It is free for providers. You re-attest that the information is correct every 120 days to keep it active.

Why does a radiologist need it?

Health plans use CAQH data when they credential physicians, and many groups and organizations ask for your CAQH ID so they can pull your information instead of asking for it again. Teleradiologists who read for many hospitals, and groups that enroll their radiologists with payers, rely on it heavily. An outdated or unattested profile is one of the most common reasons a credentialing or enrollment step stalls.

CAQH is separate from your NPI: the NPI is your national provider identifier, while your CAQH ID identifies your ProView profile.

What goes in a CAQH profile?

  • Personal and practice information
  • Education, training and board certification
  • State licenses and DEA registration where applicable
  • Work history, with gaps explained
  • Hospital affiliations
  • Malpractice coverage and claims history
  • Supporting documents: license copies, insurance certificate, CV

How TeleRads uses it

Your credentialing file for each hospital is built by us and verified through an NCQA-certified CVO, built to Joint Commission standards. A complete, current CAQH profile is one of the first things we ask for, because it lets us fill applications quickly and accurately. See teleradiology credentialing for how the hospital side works.
